Dear APU Community,
Our hearts go out to the many Western Alaska communities that have been impacted by the storm this weekend. Although the storm has weakened, there continues to be flooding and the assessment of damage is just beginning. We know that many families lost their homes, boats, and utility services. We will continue to monitor the situation and consider how APU may be able to help in the recovery efforts.
We also know that we have students and staff that are directly impacted by the devastation. For those of you who call Western Alaska home or have family out in those impacted communities, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please know that you can reach out for support. We offer counseling and support services here on campus and through distance delivery, and we will work to connect you with other efforts. If your family has been financially impacted by the storm, please contact Financial Aid or Human Resources so that we may connect you with further resources.
Take care of each other and keep our Western Alaska communities close to your thoughts.
