APU Master of Science students in the Outdoor and Environmental Education (MSOEE) program are collaborating with Elder Doug Modig on a traditional canoe-building project. This initiative is a significant part of a larger program, “49 Days of Ceremony,” which focuses on constructing a canoe and paddling it around nearby communities to raise awareness about murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls.
