Thank you for considering a gift to the Shel ch’naq’ahnilu Center Campaign. In the language of the Dena’ina Shel ch’naq’ahnilu means sharing our experience to help the next generation succeed. APU has established the Shel ch’naq’ahnilu Center in the heart of campus in Grant hall as a place for gathering, sharing, and student support. This capital improvement, sponsored by First National Bank will add a kitchen, update an elder-accessible bathroom, and Indigenous artwork to the center.
First National Bank has sponsored the center with a generous gift of $40K. They additionally pledged $70K as matching funds to finish the project, a total of $140 needed. Through the generous support of the Rasmuson Foundation and others, APU has already raised the initial $35K, matched by First National Bank. We have only $70K left, $35K to raise with an additional $35K match.
