Overview
The Anchorage Amateur Radio Club is a group of individuals who enjoy the study and use of radio for amateur purposes and who dedicate time and their radio resources to the study, use, and promotion of amateur radio in serving the public in times of emergency. The Anchorage Amateur Radio Club established their endowed scholarship in 2001 with the hope to promote education and interest in fields that are part of the broader expansions of radio.
Awarding Criteria
The endowed scholarship is for full-time students showing promise in science, mathematics, communications radio, electronics, or astronomy.
- Full-Time Enrollment
- Primary: Shows promise in Science, Mathematics, Communications, Radio, Electronics or Astronomy
- Secondary: Students with Financial Considerations, who could not attend APU otherwise.
- Tertiary: Students with the highest academic capabilities and avocational interest in the academic fields for which the scholarship is intended.
