Alaska Pacific University is delighted to extend an invitation to you to attend an upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony and BBQ. This event marks the opening of our new Life Jacket Loaner Station, a project that underscores APU’s ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of our local boating community.
Through a partnership with the Sea Tow Foundation, a nonprofit that prioritizes boating safety, we have been able to make this initiative possible. The Loaner Station will be situated outside the gear room of the Atwood Center on APU’s campus and offer life jackets to the public free of charge. These jackets, available in sizes spanning from child to adult, can be borrowed and used by local boaters to ensure safety while engaging in water-related activities.
