Organizations presents models for building and maintaining an appropriate organizational culture. This course examines issues associated with subcultures, divergent or parallel cultures of owner/parent organizations, decision-making, conflict and collaboration.
Organizational Development
examines the theory and practices of change processes in organizations, paying special attention to planning and management of change. Globalization, technological advances and community expectations all impact the nature of work and how organizations are designed. Students examine the constraints and opportunities of sustainability in organizations and the roles leaders play in fostering innovation and determining timing and rate of growth.
E-Business is an exciting
and cutting-edge component of entrepreneurial studies. This course is designed to educate students so that they are prepared to plan for and implement an e-business start-up or be able to lead a transition team of a traditional business that is expanding to include e-business solutions in its business strategy.
Concentrations
Finance
MBA with Concentration in Finance combines the breadth of the MBA with the depth required for careers in finance: understanding the securities markets, raising capital, valuations, and portfolio and investment theory.
Health Services Administration
MBA with Concentration in Health Services Administration builds upon the MBA Core with specialized courses in finance, ethics, systems and policy, evaluation and outcomes, and the opportunity to explore emerging issues.
