Pam began her teaching career in mathematics over 30 years ago at Alaska Pacific University. Born and raised in Alaska, her mission is to help her students find the love of math and connect it with the natural world around them and with their careers.
Pam has also taught mathematics at the high school and middle school levels, but her main passion has always been working at APU where faculty, students and staff are like family.
When not teaching, Pam can be found hiking the trails of Anchorage with her husband, Toshihide Hamazaki, and their three dogs.
