Johanna Belleque

Johanna Belleque (Cingqumiaq) is Yup’ik and grew up in Koliganek, Alaska. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Early in her career, Johanna worked for Southwest Region School District and Dillingham City School District as an elementary and pre-school teacher. She also worked as a Behavioral Health Case Manager for a tribal health organization. In 2019, Johanna moved to Anchorage and began working at Alaska Pacific University as an Admissions Counselor. She joined the Tumyaraa Bridge Program team in 2023 as the Family School Counselor. Johanna enjoys spending time with her 3 children, fishing, berry picking, putting up smoked salmon, canning fish, traveling, reading and meeting new people.
