Hi! I’m Amy and I’m one of the Admissions Counselors here at APU. I was born and raised in a small town in east central Iowa. Like APU, I chose to attend a small private school, Luther College, where I graduated with a B.A. in Communications and Theatre/Dance. I come from a family full of teachers and am very passionate about helping students pursue their educational goals.
I’ve had the privilege of working in the student services, community outreach and admissions fields for schools both outside and here in Alaska. I moved to Alaska in 2005 where I worked for the University of Alaska, Mat-Su Campus before moving to APU. I really love being a part of APU, the small tight-knit community and seeing all of the amazing things our students get to be a part of every day!
In my free time I love to travel, watch movies, dance (especially Capoeira) and get outside and explore our amazing state! If you have any questions, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help!
