Admissions Office SMS Text Policy
Alaska Pacific University Admissions Office uses SMS messages to communicate about application and aid deadlines, event reminders, and other important information related to the admissions process.
Opt In
Students may opt in to SMS messages on the admissions application or Slate application portal at apply.alaskapacific.edu.
Messaging Costs
Message and data rates may apply. When you opt in to receive SMS messages, you are responsible for any carrier fees such as data plan charges, text messaging charges, tolls, out-of-area roaming, and other charges. Messaging frequency per month varies based on your student status and associated actions.
Carriers
Note that SMS communications from APU may not be available through all mobile carriers.

Opt out on an email message from APU admissions office by select opt out in the footer of the email. Or contact the Admissions office at 907-564-8248 or email admissions@alaskapacific.edu.
Privacy Policy
APU will not ask you for, nor should you provide, personally identifiable information, passwords, or any other confidential or sensitive information in SMS messages.

APU Admissions Office will not send out campus emergency texts. To sign up for texts regarding safety alerts please download the APU Safe app, available on both iPhone and Android. The app will send you important safety alerts and provide instant access to campus safety resources.
