First Friday Art Reception

Grant Hall ConocoPhillips Gallery will be showing Danielle Stickman. Emily and Danielle traveled to a remote island in Norway this past summer for a joint artist residency at Starlight and Storm. They created works about their connections to the Arctic landscape as Indigenous and non-Indigenous Alaskans. They have worked together to create compelling works through beadwork and photography that can spark conversations about the importance of the Arctic landscape and pan-Arctic connections across nations. Carr-Gottstein Leah J. Peterson Gallery will be showcasing writing from the Turnagain Currents pop-up exhibit. Students in Will Elliott’s LS 202 class will create a pop-up exhibit sharing works from this year’s Turnagain Currents selections. First Friday Reception December 6th, 4:30 PM-6:30 PM
