Department of Energy Office of Energy Justice & Equity

APU will be hosting an afternoon with the Office of Energy Justice & Equity as an extension to a Summit they are having in Anchorage. The afternoon at APU is focused on outreach to students and our partners who may be our next leaders in Energy Justice . The DOE- Office of Energy Justice & Equity hope to make connections with our students, faculty, and partners.

The afternoon will include the DOE office, but also other federal agencies that have been invited to the Summit.

We have a great afternoon planned, including a workshop for the federal agencies lead by some of our faculty and staff.

We have arranged time for agencies to interact with faculty, staff, and students as well as our partners. I think any of our programs, partners, and students working in the areas of climate change, energy, environmental studies, project management or justice and equity may be a good fit for the experience. There are a lot of projects and funding coming to Alaska. This is a great time for our University and our students to learn more about opportunities. Join us for the Faculty time. Invite your students to attend Student time. Everyone is invited to stay for our reception which will lead into our Alumni reception for homecoming.
