Here at APU we believe that getting involved on campus is more than just a social event. We strive to provide you with significant opportunities to become an active member of our community and connect with your peers. We want you to get involved in student events so that you can make the most out of your college experience.
You can check out the full calendar of events on the University Calendar
There are weekly events put on by the Student Activities Office that are open to all the students on campus! On top of those weekly events, many clubs and other departments have different programs going on throughout the week. The best way to keep an eye out for these events is to look out for the weekly email and for the advertisements posted around campus! APU students like to try new things, and the Student Activities Office works hard to bring you a variety of events to you. Though we like to keep things new and exciting, you will find a several events that have become APU traditions:
- AK State Fair Trip
- Monthly Coffeehouses
- Fall Block Party
- Sea-Life Center Trip to Seward, AK
- Fall Formal
- Reindeer Farm Visits to Palmer, AK
- Ice Skating
- Fur Rendezvous Outing
- Alaska Zoo Trip
- Winter Holiday Party
- Iditarod Race in Willow, AK
- Skiing/Snowboard at Alyeska Resort
- Spring Carnival
Our events don’t stop here! We are always looking for your input and welcome new ideas. If you are interested in a specific event, or have any suggestions, you can stop by the Campus Life office on the first floor of Atwood, on the north side of the building, or you can use the form below.
