This is an opportunity for new students to take the math or writing placement tests if
they have not done so already.

Go on a tour of the Consortium Library. *Tour group will leave from Atwood Center.

A time to discuss the reality of living in Alaska with Campus Safety and Outdoor
Programs. We will be introducing the APU SAFE app that all students are
encouraged to download. Other topics to be covered include: wildlife, winter
travel, and trail etiquette.
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm – How to: APU Portal and Tech Talk * (Students only)
Academic Support Center Distance Lab, Atwood Center, 2nd Floor
During this session, students will learn how to order textbooks, log onto the APU
Portal, navigate Blackboard online courses, and more. Computers will be provided,
but feel free to bring your own laptop!

New students will learn about the policies and procedures, along with some rules
and regulations that they will adhere to during their APU experience.

Students will have an opportunity to help with activities and projects. Please RSVP
for one of the two options below by telling an Orientation Leader which one you
want to do.
- OPTION 1: APU Main Campus
If you feel like spending more time on APU’s main campus, you can help
with a fun outdoor project. Meet at the Atwood Center Courtyard at
12:00 pm. - OPTION 2: Kellogg Campus Farm
Visit APU’s Kellogg Campus located in Palmer, AK and help out around
the farm. Transportation will be provided leaving from Atwood Center at
12:00 pm.

Activities will include kickball, archery, and capture the flag. We will also have
some boats for you to paddle around University Lake!

APU’s campus and get to explore the Anchorage area. Transportation will be
provided for each team. Every member of your team must meet at the Atwood
Center Courtyard at 12:00 pm to sign in.
