Student Activity Programmer
This is a $500 scholarship opportunity for one student each semester to act as the connection between the student body and the Rec. Programs Department. This person is expected to promote Rec. Programs’ student activities and be the primary support for the Assistant Director. In addition, this person is expected to plan, promote, and execute one student event through Rec. Programs.
Front Desk Monitor
Provides excellent customer service to the Moseley Sports Center patrons. Responsibilities include opening/closing the facility, selling passes, registering patrons for classes, answering the phone, and other administrative duties assigned by the Director/Asst. Director of Rec. Programs.
Lifeguard
Provide professional lifeguard services for the Moseley Sports Center’s swimming pool operations. Lifeguards must posses current Lifeguard, CPR Professional Rescuer, and First-Aid Certifications.
Swim Instructor
The primary responsibility of the Swim Instructor position is to teach adult swim lessons using the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Curriculum or other pre-approved curriculum. Must be WSI certified or have swim instructor experience.
Pool Technician
This position is to help assist with regular monitoring of the pool water quality and with general pool maintenance as assigned by the supervisor.
Fitness Instructor
APU Fitness Instructors must have an appropriate certification and/or significant experience teaching a specified fitness class. Should possess knowledge in exercise physiology, kinesiology, and anatomy. Should have good communication skills and be able to adapt exercises for a variety of fitness levels.
