The Alaska Pacific University’s Tumyaraa: The Path Bridging Program for Alaska Native high school students, is committed to providing writing and math assistance to prepare participants for college readiness leading to potential for dual credit enrollment. This program is designed to address educational disparities and promote higher education and cultural identity.
Tumyaraa is Alaska Pacific University’s college readiness program, designed specifically for rural Alaska high school students. The free program provides hands-on and culturally connected math and writing courses with year-round support from dedicated staff. The week-long intensives in spring and fall are also an exciting opportunity for high school students to visit Anchorage, get comfortable with what a college experience can look like, and immerse themselves in campus life early on.
