Shauna is a huntress, skier, leader, advocate, and mentor. She joined Koniag in 2016 and serves as President. Prior to joining Koniag, she was the Chief Administrative Officer for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium and the Vice President of Shareholder Services for Afognak Native Corporation.

A homegrown Alaskan, Shauna holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Alaska and a graduate certificate in Alaska Native Executive Leadership from Alaska Pacific University. Shauna is an Anchorage Athena Society inductee, German Marshall Memorial Fellow, Native American Top Forty Under 40, and Alaska Top Forty Under 40.

Shauna enjoys giving back to her community through board service. She is a board member of the Alutiiq Museum, Rural Energy Enterprises, Alaska State Chamber of Commerce, ANCSA Regional Association, Resource Development Council, RurAL CAP Foundation, and Alaska Community Foundation.

Shauna and her husband Josh have passed their love of the water and mountains to their two kids, Kai and Paxson. In the winter, you can find them skiing as a family and in the summer rafting many of Alaska’s wild and scenic rivers.
