Discover Active Learning
October First Friday!
October 2, 2020 5PM-7PM
Join Zoom Meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81096922743
Please virtually join as we listen to Amber Webb and Judith Hoersting speak about their most recently collections of works.
From Amber, “The work is a collection of ink drawings on mostly recycled wood or cardboard documenting dreams and visions that originated from the careful study of colonization, life teachings, and trips on the land and water in Nushagak bay and the Wood Tikchik lake system where my ancestors exist. It is the culmination of a spiritual focus on learning to hear by listening more than I speak.”
From Judith, “During these current turbulent times, my studio is the grounding force I need to stay sane and healthy. My usual work is more representational, so when this present body of abstract markings began to surface, I trusted it. To me the shapes are very organic & represent the struggles of racism & our global Covid pandemic.”
We are also excited to feature a live musical performance by Nelson Kempf
Tsin’aen, Thank you!
