Kevin Jones was born and raised in New Orleans. An avid outdoorsman and Eagle Scout, he studied environmental engineering at the University of Florida, graduating in 2009. After hiking most of the Appalachian Trail, he enrolled in the theology program at Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., where his studies focused on theological anthropology and political theology in the light of St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine of Hippo. He graduated with a Ph.D. in 2018 and began teaching at Alaska Pacific University in 2020. His research interests are twofold: grace’s effect upon the individual and his or her virtues, and the role of grace in society. He and his wife Beth have four kids.
