Honoring Alaska’s complex and distinctive organizational and business enterprises, the Institute prepares students to address and engage in stewardship of our peoples and communities, with relevance to the world.
Institute of Culture & Environment
APU’s Institute of Culture & Environment promotes the advancement of knowledge, understanding, and reasoning in Liberal Studies, Marine and Environmental Sciences, and Outdoor Studies. Honoring Alaska’s cultural and geographic diversity, the Institute prepares students to address and engage our region’s complex and unique challenges.
Institute of Health & Wellness
The Institute of Health & Wellness promotes the advancement of knowledge, understanding, and reasoning in Counseling Psychology, Health Sciences, and Nursing. Honoring Alaska’s complex and distinctive histories, health care services, and systems of care, the Institute prepares students to address and engage in stewardship of our peoples and communities to promote community health and wellness for all.
