Clarice Conley, Chief Advancement Officer at Alaska Pacific University, earned the designation of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) by CFRE International, an independent nonprofit organization accredited by the American National Standards Institute.
To earn this prestigious designation, a CFRE candidate must meet the standards set by CFRE International, including time in the profession, education, and fundraising achievement in nonprofit organizations as well as uphold CFRE International’s Accountability Standards and Donor Bill of Rights. Additionally, candidates must pass a written examination that tests relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities of a fundraising executive.
Clarice is the Chief Advancement and Sponsored Programs Officer of APU, with responsibility for foundation and development activities, alumni relations, and sponsored programs. With a grant writing history of over $32 million in grant awards, Clarice’s background also includes postsecondary institutional research administration experience and the attainment of the certified research administrator credential (CRA). In addition to a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), her educational background includes an MFA in Creative Writing, nonfiction from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and a B.A. in English from the University of Idaho. Clarice is the direct descendant of a tribally enrolled member of the Colville Confederated Tribes. Her Tribal affiliation is Spokane.
