Best Classes at APU: Expedition Alaska and Environmental Policy and Assessment
What is your favorite APU memory? During the Physical Geology course with Mike Loso we took a trip to Matanuska Glacier. We were able to identify glacial features that we had gone over in class and read about in an assigned paper. While exploring we ran into the scientist that was the author of the assigned paper. This was my first time on a glacier and the first time I truly realized what my next four years at APU would entail; not only learning topics in a classroom, but experiencing them and learning from and working with some of the most experienced and knowledgable people in the field I would be pursuing.
What is going to be your next adventure post-APU? Hopefully, I will find a job in environmental consulting, but I also plan to travel and explore as much as possible.
Any words of wisdom for students working on completing their degrees? Work hard, but take every opportunity to explore and learn outside of the classroom.
