The APU Promise
Our investment in our students’ education is our highest priority here at Alaska Pacific University. Not only were we one of the few universities to cut our already flat-rate tuition during the 2014-2015 academic year, we cut it by 34%! Our next bold step towards making higher education accessible for all students is the APU Promise Tuition Grant Program, which will allow Pell-eligible students to attend APU at little to no cost starting this fall. According to APU’s Director of Admissions, Carter Caywood, M.Ed., “Pell-eligible students may now attend Alaska’s only private, non-profit, fully-accredited university for FREE or less than what it would cost to attend nearly any other public or private university in Alaska or the US.”
The APU Promise Tuition Grant has opened the door to higher education for many students who feared that the nationally rising cost of tuition would prevent them from achieving their academic potential. We have had the honor of sharing the joyous moment when applicants of all ages and walks of life realize that they finally will be able to afford to pursue their academic goals. APU is invested in our students’ success and looks forward to seeing them achieve their potential, both in the classroom and in the community.
