Overview
The Jeanette Brooks Endowed Scholarship was established in honor of Jeanette Brooks’ 46 years of service to Alaska Methodist University and Alaska Pacific University. AMU/APU Alumni, friends, staff and faculty have all contributed to this endowment fund. Ms. Brooks joined the APU staff in March of 1961 as secretary to the Dean, and would go on to serve as the university registrar for 40 years. She retired from service in March 2007.
Awarding Criteria
The endowed scholarship is for Alaska high school graduates or Alaska transfer students demonstrating financial need and pursing a degree in K-8 Education, Psychology, or Liberal Studies. Renewable for students in good standing who continue to meet awarding criteria.
