Degree Completion Program

Accounting Information for Management

Accounting Information for Management (AIM) is an experiential, research-based program. The first goal is to provide students with the tools and opportunities they'll need to acquire in-depth knowledge in specialized areas such as financial and management accounting, information systems, and auditing; as well as taxation, nonprofit, government and international accounting.

AIM students learn to apply accounting knowledge to solve real world problems. They develop an understanding of the research process and its application to the accounting field. AIM students also acquire intellectual skills of abstract logical thinking, inductive and deductive reasoning and critical analysis. Applied Research is an integral part of the AIM program at APU. All AIM students complete an extensive research project dealing with accounting applications.
