Kathleen Wyrick

I have a rich and varied career in human resources, with experience across different commerce! Starting with the home improvement industry, I gained valuable experience in training and development, which is foundational for HR. Then followed into HR administration with an emphasis on recruiting and retaining. Transitioning to an architectural and engineering firm, I dove deeper into compensation, benefits, and strategic HR, which are so vital in attracting and retaining top talent.

I have been the Director of HR at APU since 2013 and it has given me insight into higher education with its unique challenges, from managing a diverse workforce to navigating the complexities of policies and budgets. But it also is very rewarding to see the direct impact my work has on students, faculty, and staff.
